Crochet Star Ornament

My tree is already up and decorated and if you saw it, you would see a variety of star shapes including these crochet star ornaments. They are my favorite shape and that's just how it goes. I put my favorites on things! You'll also see the other ornaments that I've made for the 12 Days of Craftmas because favorites! :)

Materials
- Worsted Weight Yarn - US Size H 5mm Crochet Hook - Tapestry Needle - Scissors
Abbreviations
- Ch = Chain Stitch - Sl St = Slip Stitch - Dc = Double Crochet Stitch
Notes
Two times in the pattern I list (3 sl sts). This is a reference as to how many it took me to reach the designated spot. Your number might vary.
Instructions
Ch 5, sl st in 1st ch to join.
Rnd 1: Ch 2, Working into space, 2 dc, ch 3, [3 dc, ch 3] x 4, sl st in top of ch to join. Rnd 2: Sl st over to ch space (3 sl sts), In space, ch 2, 2 dc, ch 3, 3 dc, ch 1, [in space, 3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc, ch 1] x 4, sl st in top of ch to join.
To make hanging loop: Sl st to middle of ch space (3 sl sts), ch 20, sl st into back of last sl st (and back of stitch to the left if you want - see video) to join.
Bind off and weave in ends.
