Convertible Hanging Basket - Crochet Pattern

If you would like to purchase a PDF version of the entire set, click here to go to Ravelry.

Notes

- The turning chains and step up chains do not count as stitches in this pattern.
- When working in the round, the pattern states to "join with sl st." This means to join in the first hdc in the round.
- On the next round, when the next stitch(es) are worked into the first stitch, that is the same stitch that you slipped stitch into to join.
- The finished basket is turned inside out so that the "wrong side" is what is displayed. Keep that in mind if you make any modifications.

Materials

- Yarn - 1 skein of Bernat Home Dec (I used the Aqua colorway)
- J 6.00 mm Crochet Hook
- Measuring Tape
- Scissors
- Tapestry Needle
- 1 Button

Abbreviations

Ch = Chain
MR = Magic Ring

HANDLE

Join new strand of yarn in middle of round 11 on back. (I joined after the 2nd st to the right of the line created by the start of the round).
Ch 40; join with sl st just to the left of where you joined initially.
Bind off leaving a long tail, turn inside out, and fold over the brim.
Sew button in the spot where the joins were created (this spot should be below where the brim ends, but you can place the button anywhere below the brim) and weave in ends.
